About Michelle
I am passionate about learning, which I have carried through my BSc Human Life Sciences, BSc Hons Genetics and MSc in Pharmacology. Early in my education journey, however, I struggled. Thanks to the right support at the right time I was able to continue with my peers in primary school and later thrive academically (a 90% aggregate for matric and distinction in all subjects; award for genetics achievement in undergrad). This makes me very passionate about the difference that tutoring and other educational interventions can make. I have experience tutoring at a primary school (volunteering), high school (private client and volunteering) and university level (as a part of Stellenbosch University’s genetics course). I would love the opportunity to share my passion for learning, and help my students improve their knowledge, skills and confidence.

I am interested in tutoring maths, science, English, and Afrikaans at a primary school level; mathematics up to a grade 10 level; biology up to a matric level; and genetics at an undergraduate level.
I like to communicate before lessons to identify priority areas, help with context and understanding of concepts and teach tools for the expression of that understanding so that it can be recognised academically.
