About Vaishnavi
Hello, I'm Vaishnavi!
I hold a BSc in Psychology and a BA in Sociology, giving me a strong academic foundation in the Social Sciences — specifically Psychology, Sociology, Geography, and Philosophy. My passion lies in helping students not just memorize facts, but truly understand the ideas behind them.
Over time, I've developed a teaching style built on discussion, real-world examples, and interactive learning rather than rote repetition. My Teaching Approach
I believe Social Science comes alive when it's connected to the real world, not just memorized from a textbook. With a BSc in Psychology and a BA in Sociology, I bring a genuinely interdisciplinary lens to Psychology, Sociology, Geography, and Philosophy — helping students see how these subjects overlap and explain everyday human behavior, society, and the world around them.
My Method:
I rely on discussion-based learning, real-life examples, and case studies rather than rote memorization. Complex theories are broken down into simple, relatable concepts, often using current events, everyday situations, or thought experiments to make abstract ideas click. I encourage students to question, debate, and form their own opinions rather than just absorb information.
Structure of a Typical Class:
Each session begins with a quick recap of the previous topic, followed by a clear explanation of the new concept using examples and analogies. This is followed by an interactive discussion or activity where students apply what they've learned, and the class wraps up with a Q&A session to clear doubts and reinforce key takeaways.
