About Angeline
I have 2 years' worth of experience as a tutor. I am a student as well, currently in the 11th grade. I have won the "First Class Distinction" for the NCTE writing awards competition.
Throughout my math career, I have never had lower than a B+. I passed Algebra 1 accelerated with a 94%, Geometry accelerated with a 90%, and Precalculus accelerated with a 93%. I currently have a 92% in AP Calculus AB.
As a student, I am able to understand and connect with people my age. I understand many common misconceptions about higher levels of math, and I teach in ways I wish math could have been taught to me.
I volunteer very frequently, I have over 150 hours' worth of service, so my communication skills are strong. I wish to show how fun math can actually be when you try.

I have approximately 2 years worth of experience as a tutor. I first assess where someone's skill level is, and teach accordingly. I focus heavily on building a strong foundation for the student before teaching other concepts.
I am not an overly controlling instructor. If a student's attention is directed toward something else and they do not wish to engage, I will continue to teach the lesson without them.
A typical lesson plan would look like:
- Introduction, assess how the day went. What was taught in class today.
- Going over any concepts a student doesn't understand.
- Going over homework.
- Cover new material depending on time alotted.
My lessons are typically for a more mature audience. Those who have a passion. Typically for those in the 10-12 grade level, as my strengths are in teaching higher math levels. However, middle school math and elementary school math are also no issue.
