About Ronan
I am a former English teacher, with experience running Creative Writing groups. I enjoy the subject a great deal, and think that, taught well, it has a positive impact on more than just exam scores.
I formerly worked in poetry publishing, and so base my teaching in an understanding of editorship.
I am currently training in Psychological Sciences at UCL.
In my spare time, I play guitar, read, write, and hike.

I use a lot of examples, and work within clear structures, with clear aims - ordinarily, the first half of the lesson will be spent in analysis and reading, and the second in the application of those techniques to the student's own writing. I run lessons of 1 hour, and I have worked with learners between 11 and 60 years of age. I am experienced in working with students developing English as a Second Language.
