About Sedona
Hi there! My name is Sedona and I am certified to teach grades 7-12 in General Science and Biology. I currently teach high school biology, alternative math, and alternative science.
My experience tutoring mainly lies in science and math, and I have over 7 years of experience working with children and young adults.
I love to incorporate my love of the outdoors into what I teach and bring that enthusiasm into my lessons. I also think it's important to bring student interests into my lessons, and I like to get to know my students as people first and learners second. I hope you'll consider taking lessons from me!

My tutoring sessions are student-centered and the format changes based on the student's needs! However, I typically start with asking questions about what help they need before diving into some direct instruction, watching videos or reading together, and then working through practice problems, homework, or any other assignments that students might need help with. My lessons are primarily for middle and high school students, although I have experience tutoring students age 4-20.

Details
My teaching certification makes me a highly qualified tutor, which is why I ask for $25/hr. My lesson packs are discounted at $23/hr for a 5 hour lesson pack and $22.50/hr for a 10 hour lesson pack. My online lessons are discounted at $20/hr since I don't have to travel to teach.
