About Ernest
I was a public school math teacher for 25 years, and a private school teacher for 4 years after that. I'm retired now. My teaching certificate and some of my retirement paperwork will be on file here. I always gave extra help before and after school, so I've had considerable experience working with single students or small groups.

I'm a good explainer and a good questioner. Also, I have considerable experience doing things that aren't teaching: construction, business owning, transportation and logistics. I like to use visual aids and manipulatives such as Algebra tiles, cuisinaire rods, positive/negative chips. My expertise is in Geometry, Algebra, and 7th and 8th grade math. I have never taught anything more advanced than Algebra II.
