About Olivia
Hi, I'm Olivia — a qualified Chemical Engineer working as a Junior Engineer at a mining engineering consultancy, with a passion for problem-solving and a genuine love of helping students unlock their potential in mathematics and the sciences.
My day-to-day experience in a professional engineering environment means I bring more than just textbook knowledge to my lessons — I offer real-world context that helps students understand why what they're learning actually matters. I bring patience, professionalism, and practical insight to every session, and I'm committed to helping each student build true confidence in their abilities.
Outside of tutoring, I'm an avid runner — equally at home on mountain trails as I am on the road — and I love spending time outdoors and by the ocean. You'll often find me experimenting in the kitchen or out on an adventure with my beagle, Baylee. I think that curiosity and a love of learning extend well beyond the classroom, and I try to bring that same energy and enthusiasm into every session I teach.

As a qualified Chemical Engineer, I bring a deep, practical understanding of mathematics and the sciences — and I use that real-world perspective to make abstract concepts feel tangible and relevant for my students.
My approach is fully adaptive. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand how you think, where you're getting stuck, and what pace works best for you. Whether you need concepts broken down from scratch, steady practice to build confidence, or a push to reach that top mark, I tailor each session to meet you exactly where you are.
I offer both in-person and online lessons, giving you the flexibility to learn in whichever environment suits you best. All lessons are conducted in English.
A typical session is collaborative and focused — we work through material together rather than me simply lecturing. I encourage students to ask questions freely, and I use worked examples, problem-solving techniques, and real engineering applications to bring the subject to life. Over time, the goal is always for students to develop genuine understanding, not just the ability to replicate steps.
My lessons are aimed at high school students across all grade levels, covering Mathematics, Physical Sciences (Chemistry and Physics), and any Chemical Engineering modules at university level.
