About Zyla
I earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and have spent 13 years teaching Chemistry. My interest in the subject began through a fascination with how matter changes and interacts under different conditions. Teaching has given me the opportunity to share that fascination while helping students achieve their educational goals.
My teaching philosophy combines structure, encouragement, and flexibility. I understand that students learn at different rates, so I adjust lessons to meet individual needs. Through practical examples, detailed explanations, and supportive guidance, I help learners build confidence and understanding. Creating a positive learning experience is one of my main priorities.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring developments in chemical research, laboratory science, and sustainable technologies. These interests help me connect lessons to current scientific advancements. Teaching Chemistry allows me to inspire curiosity while helping students overcome challenges. Watching learners develop confidence and competence continues to motivate me every day.

My Chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand scientific concepts through logic, practice, and real-world connections. I teach topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, equilibrium, acids and bases, and organic chemistry using simple explanations and structured exercises. Students learn why chemical processes occur rather than memorizing isolated facts. This approach helps strengthen both understanding and confidence.
Lessons are adapted to fit each learner’s level and academic objectives. Beginners build confidence through clear explanations of foundational concepts and guided problem solving. Intermediate students strengthen analytical skills through application-based questions and discussions. Advanced learners focus on complex calculations, scientific reasoning, and examination preparation. Continuous feedback and review help students make consistent progress.
I believe Chemistry becomes more approachable when learners understand the principles behind chemical behavior. My lessons encourage participation, curiosity, and critical thinking. Students gain confidence as they develop stronger problem-solving abilities and deeper conceptual understanding. My goal is to help learners achieve success while enjoying the process of learning science.
