About Rivan
My interest in chemistry began with fascination for molecular interactions, laboratory experimentation, and the scientific principles that explain chemical transformations naturally. This curiosity encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and dedicate myself to science education. Over the past 6 years, I have guided students through chemistry learning using patient teaching and supportive instruction. I enjoy simplifying difficult scientific concepts into manageable lessons that help students improve steadily. Watching students become more confident in solving chemistry problems continues motivating me as a tutor. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and supportive learning instead of pressure or memorization alone. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable exploring scientific ideas openly.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with school students, university learners, and advanced students preparing for examinations and laboratory studies. These experiences have helped me understand the importance of flexibility and patience when supporting different learning styles. I use visual explanations, practical examples, guided calculations, and structured exercises to help students progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed. I also encourage learners to ask questions freely and develop independent scientific thinking naturally. Students often appreciate my calm and encouraging teaching style because it helps them remain motivated during lessons. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel inspired to improve confidently.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading scientific journals, studying laboratory research, and exploring chemistry applications related to medicine and environmental science. These interests help me bring practical scientific insight into my lessons. I believe science education should strengthen both knowledge and curiosity. Over the years, I have seen many students transform from uncertain beginners into confident chemistry learners. Helping students discover confidence in science remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Chemistry lessons become more understandable when students learn how reactions, formulas, and molecular interactions explain the behavior of substances in everyday life naturally and logically. My teaching approach focuses on helping learners build strong scientific foundations while improving confidence through guided explanation and structured problem solving. I teach subjects such as organic chemistry, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, acids and bases, equilibrium, laboratory methods, reaction balancing, and analytical chemistry using simple explanations and practical activities. Every lesson is designed to feel interactive, organized, and supportive so students can improve comfortably at their own pace. Beginners receive patient guidance with formulas, reaction basics, and scientific terminology. Intermediate learners strengthen analytical reasoning, equation balancing, and scientific problem-solving methods. Advanced students focus on conceptual analysis, reaction mechanisms, and examination preparation. I encourage students to understand chemistry logically instead of memorizing formulas without meaning. My goal is to make chemistry lessons practical, engaging, and rewarding for every learner.
I focus strongly on helping students understand why chemical reactions occur instead of memorizing equations mechanically without understanding scientific reasoning. Difficult chemistry concepts are explained through smaller examples and guided exercises that help learners remain calm and motivated during lessons. Students also learn how formulas, calculations, and molecular behavior connect naturally to improve understanding steadily. Practice activities are adjusted according to the student’s learning pace and academic goals so progress remains balanced and encouraging. I include guided calculations, conceptual discussions, and practical exercises regularly to make lessons engaging and memorable. My teaching style combines patience, structure, and supportive encouragement throughout every session. I want students to feel confident understanding chemistry naturally and independently.
Chemistry lessons also strengthen analytical thinking, concentration, scientific reasoning, and confidence beyond academic learning. Through supportive teaching and regular practice, learners become more comfortable solving scientific problems and applying chemistry concepts independently.
