About Leira
My journey in chemistry began during my PhD in Organic Chemistry, where I studied reaction mechanisms and developed a deeper understanding of chemical processes. I became interested in how different reactions occur and how they can be explained clearly. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with many students, helping them understand chemistry in a structured and simple way.
I believe that chemistry should be taught in a way that focuses on understanding rather than memorization. My teaching style includes clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and regular practice to help students build confidence. I use examples and structured learning methods so students can understand concepts easily. I also take time to understand each student’s learning pace and adapt my teaching approach accordingly.
Outside of teaching, I continue reading about developments in chemistry and exploring new ways to explain concepts. This helps me keep my lessons updated and meaningful. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling to me because I enjoy helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and develop strong scientific thinking skills that support their academic success.

Chemistry becomes much easier when students understand how concepts are connected instead of memorizing reactions without clarity. In my lessons, I focus on building strong conceptual understanding through simple and structured explanations. We begin with basic topics such as atomic structure, bonding, and simple reactions. I use clear explanations and examples so students can understand how chemical processes work. This approach helps reduce confusion and builds a strong foundation.
As students progress, I introduce more advanced topics such as organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and numerical problems. I guide students step by step so they understand both the theory and practical application of each concept. Each lesson includes practice questions, explanation sessions, and correction techniques that help improve accuracy. I also support students in developing strong answer writing skills.
Chemistry lessons also help students develop analytical thinking, observation skills, and scientific understanding. They learn how to approach problems logically and understand the reasons behind reactions. Over time, students gain confidence and become more comfortable with the subject. My goal is to make chemistry simple, clear, and interesting for every learner.
