About Cecily
My interest in chemistry was sparked by a fascination with how simple elements combine to create an infinite variety of substances. This curiosity led me to earn a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, where I focused on organic reactions and analytical methods. Over the past nine years, I have dedicated myself to teaching, guiding students through complex material while sharing the excitement and relevance of chemical science. My teaching approach is clear, patient, and adaptable. I believe that when students truly understand the “why” behind reactions and formulas, their confidence grows naturally. I take time to explain concepts from the ground up, ensuring that no learner feels left behind. I encourage exploration, curiosity, and logical reasoning, creating lessons that feel engaging rather than overwhelming. Every student’s success is personal to me, and I celebrate each breakthrough, no matter the size. Beyond teaching, I stay connected to continuing studies, scientific journals, and workshops to refine my knowledge. Chemistry is a constantly expanding field, and I believe a teacher must continue growing as well. Chemistry opens the door to understanding the invisible processes that govern the physical world. From the air we breathe to the medicine we rely on, chemical reactions shape every aspect of life. Beginners are introduced to atomic theory, the periodic table, bonding, and basic chemical equations. Intermediate learners explore stoichiometry, acids and bases, thermochemistry, and equilibrium. For advanced students, lessons include organic chemistry, reaction pathways, kinetics, and spectroscopy. I integrate structured problem-solving, visual aids, and practical explanations to strengthen understanding. I also provide targeted assistance for laboratory reports, assignments, and exam preparation. This well-rounded approach ensures students build both theoretical understanding and practical confidence.
