About Joanna

I am a Classics Graduate from the University of Nottingham about to begin teacher training in Cambridge in September.
I have tutored students up until A level in a range of humanities subjects, including History and RS, as well as Latin and Classics and helped them to write personal statements.
I have taught EAL English in India, Mongolia and most recently China.

About the lesson

As a dyslexic linguist, I am a firm believer that everyone, with the right support and study methodology, can master any subject.
I like to use a mixture of drama games, mnemonics as well as patient explanation and exemplar to teach my students.
As someone who has dabbled in clowning, improvising and stand up comedy, I also aim to bring fun, enthusiasm and hilarity.
