About Hudson
Hi! I’m Hudson Rose, a Financial Management major at Clemson University, originally from New York City. I began tutoring during my sophomore year of high school while working with a non-profit organization called HOPUP, and I’ve been doing it ever since. My goal as a tutor is to make every lesson clear, engaging, and encouraging so that students feel confident and can reach their full potential. What I enjoy most about tutoring is discovering each student’s unique way of thinking and finding the best approach to help them understand and apply new concepts. Outside of tutoring, I love playing basketball, watching movies, and spending time on the golf course whenever I can.

As a tutor, I’m very flexible and always adjust to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I’ve worked with learners ranging from elementary school students to high schoolers preparing for the SAT, and I understand that every student benefits from a slightly different approach. A typical lesson centers around either an assignment or worksheet the student wants help with, or a specific concept they need to strengthen. Regardless of the topic, I believe the best way for a student to learn is through active engagement — working through problems together, asking questions, and building confidence step by step. My goal is to make each session interactive, encouraging, and tailored to help the student see real progress.

Initially I wasn’t sure which tutor to choose to teach my son. My son is a really shy kid, who struggles to come out of his shell and has had a lot of troubles with Math since they introduced equations. I’ve been really worried about him, because he felt nervous to talk to teachers for help. We tried lots of different tutors but this one, Hudson, was so kind and so helpful. He had such a unique way of communicating with my boy, that I honestly wish I’d signed him up earlier. For the first time in my life, I saw my son grin with pure joy when talking about his math class and how much he understands it. Hudson really changed my boy’s grades and honestly his future. I’m forever grateful to Hudson, and the least I can do is write this message and say thank you!
