About Winnie
"Working with younger students requires patience and a clear, logical way of explaining complex things. I am a coder who keeps things simple. After 13 years in the industry and 13 years spent tutoring, I find that teaching algorithms and Python comes naturally to me now.
My background includes clean code practices, SQL and databases, JavaScript, and competitive programming, which I share with my students in a friendly way. I have taught many students over the years, and I usually find that the best way to explain a concept is to just talk through the code."

"Seeing a student finally push their first successful build to a remote server is the highlight of my week. We start by initializing a GitHub repo set up to track each student's progress so we can see exactly where the logic clicks.
I focus on projects rather than lectures because building functional software is the only way to internalize clean code practices or master JavaScript. We spend time navigating complex algorithms and databases in Python to ensure you are actually writing syntax that works. By organizing our work in this specific way, we create a visible path for improvement.
I keep the environment relaxed as we debug issues together until the logic holds up. This approach ensures that you are constantly moving through new technical challenges while maintaining a history of your own growth."
