About Andrew
I am a music educator, performer, and dual-degree student at Penn State University pursuing Music Education and Flute Performance.
My passion for music started back in 4th grade when I first picked up the flute. What began as a fun new hobby quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Over the years, my drive to understand how different instruments work led me to branch out into saxophone, oboe, trombone, and sousaphone/tuba. Exploring both woodwinds and brass gave me a deep understanding of sound production, wind control, and technique—insights I now share with every student I teach.
Some of my awards and achievements include
Ranked #1 flutist in the state of Pennsylvania (PMEA All-State Band & Wind Ensemble).
Selection for NAfME All-East Honors Band, as well as PMEA District, Regional Band, and Regional Orchestra across multiple years.
Two-time PMEA District Jazz selection on trombone.
Performed with premier regional youth ensembles, including the Philadelphia Sinfonia and the Young People's Philharmonic.
Currently marching contra (tuba) with the world-class Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps on nationwide tour.
Proud member of the prestigious Penn State Blue Band!

Whether giving private brass lessons, coaching younger players, or helping peers prep for chair placements, my primary goal as a teacher is to build confidence, fundamental technique, and a genuine love for music. I know firsthand how intimidating auditions and new instruments can feel, and I work closely with each student to set achievable goals and celebrate their progress along the way.
So whether you are a beginner picking up an instrument for the first time, a middle schooler preparing for chair placements, or a high schooler looking to refine your technique, I tailor every lesson to fit your unique goals and learning style.
