About Loren
I have not had any students yet as this is my first time working as a tutor however as i stated above i have previously worked with younger children. even though i have not worked with older children yet i have helped children with their English in younger years when i was in year 11 . one of them was a boy named James who really needed help with English as he was in the lowest set for English. i would tutor him on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the library and work on what he feel like he needed to improve on. he would regularly bring me his test back to we could sit and look through it to see what would need improving and then i would let him prepare and the next time i saw him i wold get him ,to do one of the questions again since then James has moved up a set and is getting better.

I am hard working and patient, i will never give up on some one until i fell they have reached their full potential. I am kind and will never be harsh and always make sure the student feels comfortable and are not afraid to get an answer wrong and i will give my everything to ensure that the student gets to where they want to be.
i work well with all ages from primary to secondary. I feel like i can connect to a younger audience because i am used to working with younger children as my mother used to work in a nursery and i used to help out and in my secondary school we have a primary school where i used to help out. I also feel like i would be able to connect to an older audience such as secondary school children because i am close in age and i feel like i could connect with more as i understand what they are going through as i have been through it.
In terms of teaching skills i would make sure i first get an understanding of where exactly the student is exactly struggling and talk to them about what methods they have tried to help them retain the knowledge they require and what new methods they could try and i would work from their weakest point to their strongest point ensuring that they feel confident in what they have learnt before moving on. I would also make sure the student has regular breaks in between so that they have time to process what they have learnt and so that they don't over work their brain.
