About Juan
I am a second year college student looking to get a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I believe I should be honest and upfront about my experience and state that I have only ever tutored one student in Geometry. However, I was able to successfully get this student from a "D" to a "B". I understand I may not be as experienced as other tutors, but I am very confident with the fact that I can get anyone to learn any kind of math they might be struggling with. Math subjects I am very comfortable tutoring include: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.

My goal is to teach you whatever it is you want me to teach you. I understand math can seem very scary and hard, but with the right teacher, it becomes a lot easier. The lessons would work on a day by day basis where you tell me what it is you're struggling with, and I would teach you it. If there is one specific topic you need help with, you can come to me for one day and I will teach you that topic. If it is a series of topics you need help with, we can plan a schedule that works well for the both of us.
To my knowledge, every student is different and learns at their own pace. Because of this, I would first like to evaluate your understanding on the topic then proceed to teaching it.
Additionally, I would need to know the topics first ahead of time so I can get a chance to make sure I have everything I need for our lesson.
What sets me apart from other tutors is I don't plan on stressing you out. I want to create a sort of relaxed environment where you see me more as a friend than a tutor. We can continue at your pace so you're comfortable with what you're doing. I can guarantee improvement if you stick with me long enough.
