About Delanie

Hello! My name is Delanie and I am a first-year Computer Science student at the University of Reading with a strong interest in maths and teaching. I achieved a grade 7 (equivalent to an A) in GCSE Maths and I enjoy helping others using shortcuts and tricks. My lessons are interactive and I encourage questions and use everyday examples to make maths feel easier to understand. A typical length of a lesson would be 2 hours as I believe this will give enough time to explain a topic, practise questions, and review progress without overwhelming the student. However, I am flexible with working hours so the lesson could be cut shorter or extended based on the learner's requirement. Experience Although I am just starting out on Superprof, I already have valuable tutoring experience. For example, I helped my 50-year-old mother prepare for her GCSE Maths exam, and she successfully passed with a Grade 4. This taught me the importance of patience, clear explanations, and adapting my approach for learners of different ages. I offer lessons for GCSE students who want to improve their grades. Also, Adults returning to education who may feel nervous about maths and want patient, step-by-step guidance. Lastly, Younger learners (KS3 and below) who need extra support with foundations in maths. Finally, I will be happy to help my tutee with problems outside working hours :)

About the lesson

I achieved Grade 7 (equivalent to an A) in GCSE Maths. I also have hands-on tutoring experience most recently, I tutored my 50-year-old mother in GCSE Maths, and she successfully passed with a Grade 4. I offer lessons for GCSE students who want to improve their grades. Also, Adults returning to education who may feel nervous about maths and want patient, step-by-step guidance. Lastly, Younger learners (KS3 and below) who need extra support with foundations in maths.
