About Emmanuel

I am a dedicated and passionate guitar tutor with over 5 years of playing experience, committed to helping students achieve real, measurable progress. My approach is built on patience, clarity, and a deep understanding of how to break down complex concepts into simple, practical steps.

Over the years, I have developed strong skills in technique, music theory, and performance, allowing me to guide students from basic fundamentals to more advanced playing with confidence. I don’t just teach you what to play—I teach you how to understand the instrument, so you can grow independently and develop your own style.

I take professionalism seriously. Every lesson is well-structured, tailored to your individual goals, and delivered in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to refine your skills, you can expect consistency, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to your improvement.

My goal is simple: to help you become a confident, capable guitarist while enjoying the learning process every step of the way.

My Approach as a Guitar Tutor
Teaching Method & Techniques

My teaching style is practical, structured, and highly personalized. With 5 years of playing experience, I focus on helping students not just play songs, but truly understand the guitar.

I combine:

Technique building (finger strength, picking accuracy, timing)
Music theory made simple (scales, chords, progressions without confusion)
Ear training (learning to play by listening, not just tabs)
Real-world application (learning songs, improvisation, and creativity)

I adapt my teaching depending on the student’s goals—whether they want to play casually, perform, or create their own music.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Each lesson is structured but flexible:

Warm-up (5–10 mins)
Finger exercises, scales, or rhythm drills to build technique.
Review (5–10 mins)
Go over previous material and fix any mistakes or challenges.
Core Lesson (20–30 mins)
New techniques (e.g., barre chords, fingerstyle, soloing)
Music theory concepts applied directly to the guitar
Learning a song or riff that uses the concept
Application (10–15 mins)
Practice improvisation, songwriting, or playing along with backing tracks.
Assignment & Feedback (5 mins)
Clear practice goals and tips to improve faster before the next lesson.
What Sets Me Apart
I simplify complex concepts so they actually make sense
I focus on playing + understanding, not just memorizing
I tailor lessons to your music taste (Afrobeats, rock, gospel, pop, etc.)
I help you build confidence to play without relying on tabs
I’m patient, relatable, and focused on real progress—not rushing
