About Somnath
Hi, I’m Somnath Jana, a passionate Biology enthusiast and dedicated tutor. I hold a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from JIS University and am currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Molecular and Human Genetics at Banaras Hindu University. My academic journey has been driven by curiosity, hard work, and a deep love for the life sciences. I have qualified some of the most competitive national exams, including CSIR-NET (JRF), GATE, IIT-JAM, TIFR-JGEEBILS, and CUET-PG, which reflects my strong grasp over core biological concepts. My interests lie in genetics, molecular biology, and cellular mechanisms, but I enjoy all areas of biology—especially when I get to explain them to others. I believe knowledge grows when shared. Teaching allows me not only to help others succeed but also to deepen my own understanding. I know that Biology can seem challenging at first, but with the right guidance and clear explanations, anyone can master it. I am a CSIR-NET (JRF) and GATE qualified tutor currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Molecular and Human Genetics from Banaras Hindu University, with a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from JIS University.
