MSc in Biology (Integrative-Biosciences) from University of Oxford with more than 7 years of tutoring experience offering my first lesson absolutely free. I give the tutoring according to student needs and capabilities. I give students the work plan to reach A grades. I tutor Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths from KS2 upto A-levels.
I believe in simplifying the science concepts based on everyday experiences, then building up on those basics, stressing on the kind of questions that examiners ask, what variations of the questions one can be examined on, and giving time to read/practice and come back with problems.
My teaching methods are based on a wider variety of pedagogic practices to reinforce learning. This includes lectures, discussion and active participation, and encouraging spaced repetition and review to improve retention. I deliver my sessions through very informal lectures that start from the beginning.
I firmly believe that achieving an amazing grade must rest on having a strong foundation in the subject. I aim to solidify core knowledge, then build upon that to get students to the level they need. I will also aim to help explain challenging concepts to my pupils, and find example questions that will prove to be helpful.
My teaching method firstly involves identifying areas for which the student wishes to improve their understanding and assessing their level of understanding of the subject prior to the class. Teaching will involve the use of textbooks along with exercise materials provided by myself.
My teaching method is one-to-one personal tutoring with a specialised focus on ensuring a person's learning and understanding of a subject/topic is met no matter how long it takes. I believe in nurturing learning confidence is key to achieving higher grades.
In order to achieve high grades in your exams, you need to understand what you care being asked and then be able to recall the relevant knowledge, my teaching style involves looking past exam questions, interpreting what is wanted from it and then aiding you as you answer the question step by step.
My teaching method is interactive where learning through open dialogue, answering questions and thus gaining your own confidence to be able to reteach the lesson to someone else is key.
I believe in customizing the lesson and a lot of out of the box tricks to make it both fun and effective for students to learn Arabic/Hebrew. Passionate about International Relations and Global Affairs that no mat-ter how hard the subject may seem for you I'll infect you with my pas-sion and you would enjoy the lesson.
My teaching method include complete description of the topic and analytical approach to correlate it with normal life of individual
I begin the first lesson with long term objectives and a desired date you'd like to meet them. If you're phased by deadlines we will still set objectives and assess whether we've met them as we go along. Objectives can change each lesson or over a few lessons.
My teaching method is very simple relying on the student to guide where the lessons go and the pace that they go at. I have several methods of teaching which allows me to work with all different types of people.
My approach to teaching is usually student-led with focussing on their areas of weakness. This may involve teaching and covering theory and/or helping improve their application skills by practicing exam questions. I encourage students to link knowledge from different areas together to consolidate their understanding.
I prefer to create practice questions to determine which areas the student is good at and which they're not too confident in. Once I can pinpoint the areas they're struggling with, I go in-depth trying to explain the how and the why, to make sure the student can understand what's going on and not just memorize it. After that, how well they understood it I can test with more practice questions.
I have taught fellow peers within my degree, using visual cues. However, I have also taught young adults through their GCSE's, with songs and acronyms as they were acoustic learners. My teaching method depends on the individual I am teaching. I understand that everyone learns in different ways, and I suit my methodology to this.
I believe in interactive teaching tailor-made to each individual study type and showing that science is more than just memorizing and dreadful topic but fun and enjoyable topic to enjoy. I am offering my service to students below a university level and helping them through school.
My lessons are suitable for any type of student who wants to improve in biology and chemistry. The lessons structure can be very flexible and adapted to any needs for the best result possible. Please contact me at (concealed information) for any further information.
I start with an overall assessment of basic knowledge and individual needs of the student, we work together in a plan that will help you achieve your goal in time and discuss the learning strategies that have been helpful or not in the past as well as the topics to be covered in our tutorials.
Differentiated techniques are used to teach the students such as highlighted notes, mindmaps, mnemonics and the Roman Room technique. The Roman Room technique is an ancient and effective way of remembering unstructured information where the relationship of items of information to other items of information is not important. It functions by imagining a room (e.g. your sitting room or bedroom).
I will base my methods on the need of the pupil, but will always aim to prepare student for the exam ahead. I am able to conduct teaching style lessons , also can have more question answer like sessions where pupils can ask questions on topics.I will also go over the exam mark schemes to show to help students prepare.
I have taught the curriculum a few times as a TA, and I believe each student learns in their own way. Whatever the reason you find yourself needing a tutor, I will focus on what YOU need. I first prepare you by giving a clear and concise overview of the subject. I then narrow down to the key concepts you need most.
I can give lessons to GCSE students and A level students for Biology. My methodology is based off explaining in a way that the students will understand and practising until they perfect their craft. For me patience is key.
My teaching method is very simple, i try to explain complex things in a most simple way so even the most mediocre students wont feel left out. I also include videos, self drawn diagrams, hand made notes to explain things to my students.
I work by giving handouts and going through them thoroughly with the student to ensure they understand what is being taught. I then give "homework" based on the lesson and will mark it according to your exam-boards criteria. I can also adjust my teaching methodology to best suit the student based on their learning preferences.
We will work as a team to make sure you achieve the best grades possible. I won't be teaching you straight from a book, I will teach you the subject in different ways which will be enjoyable. I will teach you the subject but I will also be teaching you how to pass the exam by making sure what you learn can easily be applied to those tough exam paper questions.
Hi! I have a PhD in vaccine development from Imperial College London and have also completed an MSc in Immunology and a BSc (Hons) in Infectious Diseases. I am due to start the graduate entry medicine course at Imperial this Autumn after also working there as a post-doctoral scientist.
I offer lessons to students studying an undergraduate Biological Sciences degree and to high school students studying Biology at any SQA level.
I am a Second year A level student who studies Biology, Chemistry and Maths. A years experience in tutuoring and also with triple A’s in first year of college. Also, I have a grade 8 in GCSE maths and a triple A* in triple science at GCSE’s.
My teaching method is simple, anyone can understand more complex theories as long as they have a goo base knowledge. To that end I strive to ensure that my students have a firm comprehension of the basics of a subject before moving onto the more advanced levels.
At school and university I was always a very visual learner. I learn best using diagrams and images. I also find mini-quizzes and flashcards helpful for memorising phrases and key steps in methods. My lessons will be focused on this style of learning. I will set mini tests and use visual aids to aid memory.
