About Kala
After graduating cum laude a semester early with a degree in Political Communications and a double minor in Management & Leadership and Gender Studies, I worked full time as a manager of a high-end retail store. I have currently started my next step in life: attending law school. My whole life has been dedicated to childhood development, as I worked as a tutor and babysitter during high school. During my time in undergrad, I worked throughout various levels of childhood education, ranging from experience with children ages 2-13, and high schoolers to early college students. I have a passion for creating equal education opportunities and showing people that school work can be fun!

My teaching methodology is based around catering to each individual child's needs. Learning is not something that is one size fits all- to get the best results, each lesson must be catered to not only get across the general message of what is being taught, but to reinforce the substance through a more personalized take. I believe in positive reinforcement, completing tasks thoroughly and correctly, and communicating every step along the way.
