About Annelise
I am a current student at Brown University studying economics. I’ve taken math courses for statistics, upper-level calculus with differential equations, and data analysis. In high school, I took AP Calculus AB and BC, receiving a 5 on both exams. I enjoy math, and more importantly, I enjoy working with students! Each summer I return home to North Dakota to be a camp counselor at the North Dakota Leadership Seminar and the ADA Camp Maverick where I have experience working with students ages 7 to 18.

As a virtual math tutor for K-12 students, my approach centers on clarity, confidence, and connection. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps by using visual explanations and real-world examples to match each student’s learning style. Lessons begin with reviewing prior material, followed by instruction and interactive problem-solving. Throughout lessons, I check in with students for understanding. What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and focus on building strong problem-solving skills rather than only memorization. My lessons are designed for middle and high school students taking arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, or precalculus, including those seeking homework support, test preparation, or long-term skill building.
