As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My approach is very interactive rather than lecture-based.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what we worked on before, followed by introducing or practicing a new concept together. I guide students through problems step by step, then give them the chance to try independently while I support them when needed. At the end, I like to briefly review what we covered and make sure everything feels clear before we finish.
I break down concepts into smaller, manageable steps and use scaffolding when needed so students can build understanding gradually. I also try to connect learning to examples that feel familiar and accessible, so students can actually make sense of what they’re learning.
