About Leela
Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching chemistry to students at various academic levels, each with unique goals and learning styles. My own passion for chemistry began during university research, where I discovered how molecular understanding could explain so much of the physical world. That realization continues to guide my teaching philosophy today. I teach with a focus on connection—between theory and reality, curiosity and knowledge. I encourage students to approach chemistry not as rote memorization, but as exploration. Lessons are interactive, filled with analogies, visual models, and experiments that turn abstract topics into engaging discoveries. Outside the classroom, I enjoy conducting small research projects, mentoring science fair participants, and collaborating on educational material design. Teaching chemistry allows me to witness curiosity evolve into confidence—a transformation as beautiful as the reactions we study.

Chemistry, to me, is the study of transformation—the way matter changes, bonds form, and energy flows. My lessons are designed to bring this sense of wonder and connection into every topic. Whether we’re exploring atomic theory, chemical reactions, or organic structures, I emphasize real-world relevance and hands-on understanding. Students learn to think like scientists—curious, methodical, and observant—developing both conceptual clarity and critical reasoning.
For beginners, we establish strong foundations in atomic structure, bonding, and stoichiometry through visual aids and experiments. Intermediate learners dive into organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, mastering reaction mechanisms and equilibrium systems. Advanced students engage in applied topics like spectroscopy, thermodynamics, and kinetics, often preparing for academic competitions or university-level work. Every lesson integrates discussion, problem-solving, and reflection.
The ultimate goal is for students to view chemistry as a dynamic, living science. Beyond grades, they gain scientific literacy, logical precision, and appreciation for how chemistry shapes the world—from medicine to materials science. Learning becomes not just informative but inspiring.
