About Rory
I am a Chemistry tutor with 7 years of experience and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry. I have taught over 200 students from GCSE through to advanced undergraduate Chemistry level. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, physical, environmental, and analytical chemistry with equal depth and clarity. I make Chemistry both conceptually clear and mathematically manageable through systematic rigorous teaching and real-world applications. My Chemistry lessons are structured to develop both conceptual clarity and confident problem-solving ability simultaneously in every session. Every lesson begins with a targeted review of previous content before building to new material and examination-standard problems. Organic chemistry is taught through comprehensive systematic mechanism coverage with full arrow-pushing diagrams and clear electronic reasoning at every step. Physical chemistry is developed with full mathematical rigor covering thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry with worked examples. Environmental chemistry including green chemistry principles, pollution chemistry, and sustainable processes is covered with genuine depth and enthusiasm. Inorganic chemistry covers periodicity, bonding theories, transition metal chemistry, and complex ion behavior. Past paper questions are integrated throughout every lesson. Lesson content is adapted carefully to each student's specific examination board requirements. Structured notes and a targeted problem set are provided after every session. My goal is for every student to approach every Chemistry question with genuine conceptual understanding and a reliable method they can depend on.
