About Swathi

I am a decade-long UX designer and self-taught visual artist, illustrator, and educator, specializing in painting, intricate mandalas, geometry, and traditional Indian visual art. I work across mediums and styles- from acrylics to watercolors, line drawings to paper art to create art that sparks inspiration and tells stories. Lately, I’ve been exploring working with clay, resin art, texture art, and ink drawings, along with fun DIY projects to keep things exciting!

I enjoy experimenting with different mediums, styles and techniques to create artwork that brings joy to me and sparks inspiration in others. I also take workshops and online classes where I have taught over 1000 people mandalas, watercolors, pen and ink drawing and many more.

Art, to me, is more than just creating—it’s a way to express yourself, unwind, and discover endless possibilities.

About the lesson

My teaching techniques lean on making art and painting accessible, structured, and satisfying through hands-on guidance and project-based learning.

I focus on:

My Teaching Approach

Step-by-Step Guidance: I break down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. No prior art experience is needed.

Project-Based Learning: You learn techniques by creating a real artwork from day one, not by doing dry practice drills.

Hands-On Skill Building: Learn proper brush pressure, water control, precise linework, and prep work needed for surfaces.

Simple Class Structure (90–120 Minutes)

Demo (15 Mins): Live demonstration of the medium, tools, and today's project.

Practice (20 Mins): Quick trial on practice paper to build muscle memory with real-time feedback.

Create (60 Mins): Work on your main artwork with step-by-step guidance.

Finish (15 Mins): Framing, sealing, or mounting tips, plus a quick showcase of your work.

Why these classes?

Exhibiting Artist Guidance: Learn professional finishing techniques, archival tips, and color secrets directly from an active artist.

Guaranteed Takeaways: Every session is designed so you walk out with a complete artwork to frame, use, or gift.

Relaxed & Supportive: A warm, screen-free environment focused on creativity, personal growth, and stress relief.

Class Offerings by Group

Kids (Ages 7–14)

Focus: Fun, confidence, and motor skill development.

College Students & Young Adults

Focus: Stress relief, creative portfolio building, and DIYs.
