About Birdie
Ever wonder why certain melodies stay stuck in your head for days? I started my path by obsessing over how lyrics and chords create emotional gravity.
Over 5 years of teaching, I have mentored 347 students ranging from working musicians to independent artists and teens. My BFA from NYU Steinhardt grounded my craft in actual practice rather than abstract concepts.
I love helping intermediate producers find their unique voice. This work is about building a bridge from your spark to a finished song.
I have seen enough false starts to know what actually works. My background keeps the process moving. Songwriting is a skill that grows with consistent effort. I teach because I believe in your project.

I build lessons around the music you want to make. Honestly, I hate following rigid templates for creative art. We examine song structure through verses, choruses, and bridges. You develop your own voice using motif and theme exercises.
Harmony basics and genre conventions keep your writing focused. We keep it simple.
