About Ava
I'm a high school senior who took the ACT this past spring. I received a 35 composite score with a perfect score of 36 in both the English and Reading sections. Although I'm not a professional, I have strong English and Reading skills and confidence that I can help you improve your score. I know that standardized test-taking is a stressful time in high school, and I'm here to help alleviate some of the stress for you!

My lessons are for high school students aiming to see growth in their ACT English/Reading sections.
The ACT English and Reading sections do not purely test word knowledge, grammar skills, or paragraph comprehension—what they truly test is language pattern recognition. Many students who do poorly on the ACT have these skills, but they don't know what the test questions are asking.
That's where I come in. I aim to improve not only English and Reading knowledge, but to strengthen students' understanding of what test questions are really looking for. My students will focus on building their ever-so-elusive pattern recognition with repetition. I will assist with targeting weak spots in their knowledge, maintaining strengths, and forming a robust profile of English/Reading skills.
