About Samantha

Welcome! I’m Samantha, a passionate and dedicated self-taught artist with a lifelong love for creativity. My journey in art began at the tender age of 7 when my mother who has a strong background in fine arts started teaching me her skills, and since then, I have honed my skills and developed a unique artistic style through years of practice and exploration.

My Artistic Journey
Art has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I have completed numerous commissioned works, showcasing my versatility and commitment to my craft. Some of my notable projects include:

1. Illustrating a Poetry Book: Bringing words to life with captivating visuals.
2. Creating Custom Portraits: Crafting personalized artworks that capture the essence of my subjects.
3. Various Commissioned Artworks: Tailored pieces for clients that highlight my ability to adapt to different styles and themes.

About the lesson

A. Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My approach to tutoring is centered around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe in adapting my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that lessons are both informative and enjoyable. Here are some key techniques and methodologies I use:

1. Interactive Learning: I incorporate hands-on activities and practical exercises to make learning interactive and engaging.
2. Personalized Instruction: Each lesson is tailored to the student's skill level and interests, ensuring that the content is relevant and stimulating.
3. Positive Reinforcement: I provide constructive feedback and celebrate successes to boost confidence and encourage continuous improvement.
4. Step-by-Step Guidance: I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, making it easier for students to grasp and apply new knowledge.
5. Encouraging Creativity: I foster an environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their creativity.

B. Typical Length of a Lesson: 60 mins. This duration is ideal for maintaining focus and allowing enough time to cover new material, practice techniques, and review previous lessons.

C. Experience as a Tutor: 5+ years of tutoring experience in both one-on-one and group settings. And commissioned work.

D. Who Are You?
1. Levels: Beginner artists looking to improve their skills and techniques.
2. Ages: Any (there's no age to start learning)
3. Interests: Anyone with a passion for art, whether they are pursuing it as a hobby or aspiring to a professional career.

By providing a flexible, personalized, and supportive learning experience, I aim to inspire and empower students to achieve their artistic goals.

Samantha is a really an absolutely amazing artist, each of her unique single pieces she showed me the perspective an artist sees through their lens in her art, and taught me the art of observation to bring it all in the sketch. She encouraged me to find beauty in my art and helped me boost my confidence to keep doing art. In each of her classes I learnt something new to hone my creativity skills and it helped fully express my art.
