I honestly would give Tommy '10 stars' if possible!!! I am primarily a songwriter, but I wanted to learn the trumpet just for my own personal enjoyment, and not be a virtuoso... even though Tommy is a PRO musician, he isn't annoyed by me not being able to practice often due to numerous family responsibilities... Tommy is JUST GREAT! He is smart, funny, easy-going, a pro musician and VERY KIND!!! You can't lose by having Tommy as your teacher, he will be mine permanently!!!

Tommy is a very patient and enthusiastic teacher. Even before we began our lessons, he was already very attentive to my needs and recommended instruments that are suitable for me as a beginner. In our lessons, Tommy likes to use real-life examples to help me better understand the concepts, which has been greatly beneficial to my learning and has made it much more interesting. I’m very happy to have Tommy as my teacher and I thoroughly enjoy my time with him every week!

Tommy was incredibly patient with our first time trombone learner. He had a very positive attitude and was encouraging for my child to keep trying even though it was completely new. Tommy is not only a wonderful trombone musician …. he is equally a great trombone teacher. He has a skilled way of expressing concepts around HOW to play technically and musically. He's patient and keeps things moving along week to week. Highly recommended!!!

During my time with Tommy, he has helped me improve in many areas. I feel that I learn and improve every lesson. Tommy is committed to teaching and points things out where I can improve upon. While teaching, Tommy uses many analogies that help me better understand what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix it.

Tommy is a great teacher. He began teaching my son Bart trumpet three years ago, and is still teaching him. Bart developed a passion for the instrument. Tommy is one of his favorite teachers.
