About Natalie
I’m a Duquesne University student-athlete majoring in Psychology on a Pre-Medicine track. Being both a student and an athlete has shaped how I work—I'm disciplined, patient, and used to balancing challenges while staying focused on growth.
I’ve always enjoyed working with younger students, and through multiple teaching roles, I’ve learned how important it is to make learning feel comfortable, encouraging, and personal. I take time to understand how each student thinks, what motivates them, and where they may be struggling, so I can teach in a way that actually makes sense to them.
My goal is to create a supportive space where students feel confident asking questions and not afraid to make mistakes. I genuinely enjoy helping students build both their skills and their confidence over time.

My tutoring approach focuses on patience, clarity, and building confidence through understanding rather than memorization. As a Duquesne University student-athlete studying Psychology on a Pre-Medicine track, I’ve worked in multiple teaching roles and learned how to adapt to different learning styles.
Each session begins with a quick review, followed by step-by-step instruction on new material, guided practice, and independent work to reinforce learning. I adjust my teaching using visuals, examples, and questions to ensure understanding throughout.
What sets me apart is my ability to stay encouraging, structured, and adaptable under pressure, helping students feel supported and capable. I also have experience as a teacher's para, preschool teacher, and substitute teacher! I love helping my younger sister with her homework as well!
I tutor Kindergarten through 8th grade in Math, Science, and English, focusing on building strong foundations and academic confidence.
