About Tialy
I have obtained my high school diploma. I am currently taking a gap year due to COVID. I plan on pursuing the path of a Pre-Med or Business major at a University in the Twin Cities.
I have volunteered to tutor for 2 years throughout high school. I have also tutored at Hmong Educational Center for 1 year. Although the subjects that I am most comfortable with are elementary algebra, advanced algebra, and geometry, the highest math class which I have attended is College Calculus 1. Therefore, I am also capable of teaching certain concepts of Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus 1. However, please let me know the concepts ahead of time!
For essay writing, it is something I am passionate about and I often receive A's on my papers. I am skilled in APA, MLA, College Admissions Personal Essay, and ACT writing. The highest writing class I have taken is at the college level.

Every student is different. Especially when it comes to math. For math, I allow the student to explain their thought process to me in order to build confidence and independence in their math skills. I also strive to provide many examples, visuals, step by step explanations, etc. Most of all, I highly value understanding the student and their style of learning over my style of teaching.
For essay writing, I strive to make a better and more sophisticated writer out of the student. I use many strategic personal development skills. Such include self-correction, building good writing habits, identifying rhetoric, creating logical structures, etc.
During the process, I try to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible. :)
