I base my classes on what the students want to learn. For example if there is anything that they are struggling with in class and want to go over, and I link this in with any course guidelines to make sure students fully understand the course.
I am a student at the University of Exeter studying BSc Economics with European Study. I have been working with young people for several years, coaching hockey and I have one year's experience of teaching Spanish to a young class.

I lead activities, normally for groups of 40-70 students around Edinburgh at a summer school for international students to learn English. This requires a large amount of organisation, especially as we often use public transport with such large numbers.

Regularly coached student tennis sessions encouraging beginners and intermediate players to get involved with the University Club and improve their game. Also coached cardio sessions during the week which are fitness-based tennis sessions aimed at all abilities.

I lived and worked in Spain for three months with a family, looking after and teaching their two young children English. My Spanish greatly improved as most of the family members did not speak any English. I now have good conversational Spanish.

I lead Spanish lessons with a partner to a class of 5 and 6-year-olds. My presentation skills improved, and my confidence increased. I also learnt to overcome many challenges as a significant number of the class only spoke English as a second language.
