My teaching method is simple, starting from the theory and then going towards practical dealing of subject so make students understand well.Happy to answer queries at all time.Won't run with the course, can teach as long as the student wants on any problem area.
My methods of teaching Maths mostly involves problem solving and practising a lot of different questions and some homework will have to be done. For every query about any problem, we will cover the theory behind it in order to get a better idea of and understand how mathematics work.
My lessons will be the easiest to understand. I start from the very basics of everything and build all concepts from the ground level. I will not make the students memorize anything and they will be able to solve the entire paper using technique and concepts instead of rote learning formlae.
As a undergraduate student, I understand the difficulties of secondary school science. My methods include breaking tricky subjects down into small manageable chunks, using several methods, depending on my students strengths and learning methods.
I will initially ask and fix issues with students understanding about a problem. My lesson plans will be split on what my student feels needed covered as well as parts of the course. I will demonstrate examples but also allow the student to reach the answer themself.
My teaching method is to use my past experience, relate that to each student, to really help them understand each individual topic. By building on the small basics, and then adding more and more, anything can be achieved, even if it looks daunting at first.
I approach first sessions with an open mind and engage with pupils to discover what they are struggling with and why. I place a huge emphasis on making learning fun and student-focused, and am encouraging and friendly. I strive to always get the best results for students, in an open and exciting learning environment.
I strongly believe that there must be only one reason for you not understanding science and maths: they taught these in a boring, obsolete way. It's their fault, not yours.
I am a student in my last year of school, studying maths, economics and mandarin at Advanced Higher level. While I do not have a maths degree, I am no more than two years from sitting Higher and National 5 mathematics, which gives me a superior grasp of the exam techniques and knowledge that pupils actually need in order to score top grades.
Hello, I am an experienced home tutor who teaches maths, physics and chemistry to students of primary, secondary and senior secondary level. My teaching methodology is based on conceptual development, interactive reasoning, daily practice and revision of the previous lesson. I like my students to be energetic, confident and above all optimistic.
I'm a responsible and sociable recently graduated spanish boy with an advanced knowlege of english language. I've been studying Industrial Design engineering and Mechanical engineering for the last 6 years, and it will be a pleasure helping childs and teens from secondary level to university degree level to improve at science subjects.
I have taught mathematics to secondary students and engineering courses to college students in past. I like teaching with real world examples which makes understanding the concepts a fun activity. The more we practice, the better we learn, so I focus on solving questions and in example based method.
I went to school in Edinburgh and so I'm very comfortable with tutoring the scottish curriculum, especially Higher and Advanced Higher Maths. I understand that some students may just be having problems with a few specific areas or example questions and need help running through these while others may wish to go through the whole syllabus in a more structured format.
I encourage the student to learn at their own pace as everyone learns different topics at different speeds.
I generally tutor 1:1 as this means that I can cover significant ground with the student. I am able to focus on their needs as an individual and address this as quickly as possible. I aim to assess each student at the start of tuition, I identify weak topics/areas and we mutually agree on a path of work.
My first goal is to find out what needs to be taught. With the aid of diagrams, formula sheet and acrynyms I will present the method and use examples to practice the rechnique. Learning resources are effective in meeting all levels of learning. The last step is to review what has been learned, providing real life application of theorems in engineering, for example.
I have given lessons to individuals at secondary school level but would like to expand to those at a university level also. I like to address topics individually to ensure the student fully understands each topic before moving on. I believe its important to be patient and work through things at the students pace.
Currently a student at the University of Edinburgh; my lessons are appropriate for all highschool students. When I'm asked by the tutee for help with a topic, I help by illustrating the topic from its roots in order to give the them a stronger foundation since that is what they usually lack.
I believe practice is the best way to learn and am able to explain concepts in several ways to ensure it can be understood by anyone and everyone.
Along my private lessons, I have given lessons from 7 to 21 years old, always with a succesfull results During my lessons I try that the student find out his own mistakes and explain my the way he does the exercises and the because of the things.
Hi there! My name is Ashley-Nicole and I am a Veterinary Medicine and Surgery student at the University of Edinburgh. Before I applied to university, math seemed like a daunting, scary subject - until I decided to sink my teeth into the material and give it my all.
I am a Mathematics and Physics student of the University of Edinburgh, currently in the 3rd year of my undergraduate studies. I offer lessons to pupils and students up to university level, including university freshers. I'm always patient with my tutees, and I try to simplify the difficult concepts in our subjects with examples and perspectives a lot of professors fail to give.
Hello, I am a University Student studying Chemical Engineering. I hope that I can share my experiences in Maths and Sciences, from Primary to A-Levels. Given my experiences, I will teach you unique methods which you will love and be passionate about.
My name is Fergus Gibson, i give lessons to primary and secondary school students. I posit a theory and use worked examples to get the student to understand the problem and know how to tackle it. I believe. I am patient and will try and word any problems in a manner that will make them easier to understand if the raw mathematical terms seem to complicated.
I usually teach on a one to one basis and personalise my lesson content according to the needs of my students. My classes include handouts and worksheets to encourage them to practice at home and provide them with notes to revise from.
I keep my classes on line and I have prepared sufficient tutorials with lot of examples and I describe everything every problem in a manner to make students to have interest over the subject. All students who have taken classes with me have great interest in learning.
I try to convey my own enthusiasm for my subjects as well as I can. I understand that these subjects are very challenging so need to be broken down and worked through step by step, at different paces, depending on the individual needs of each student.
My teaching method mainly revolves around meeting up in person and helping with questions you are stuck on. I try and use as much visual aid when teaching something new, and will use different techniques or "tricks" for remembering certain lots of information.
We will establish the students ability as early as possible. Areas of difficulty will be approached logically and refined through a combination of worked examples from past papers as well as discussion from examples that the student has done without help.
I am a Mechnical engineer and currently doing my masters from Edinburgh Napier University. I have studied psychology as a minor in my undergraduate studies. In order to convey the concept of a particular thing, a teacher must understand the students mental capabilities first. And I deal with my students in a way the want me to deal with them. This is how I teach.
