About Yogesh

Welcome!

I’m Yogesh Shrestha, an experienced accounting professional with a passion for helping students succeed. With a background in full-cycle accounting, tax reporting, and financial management, I’ve developed a deep understanding of financial operations. My experience includes working with renowned firms like BDO, where I honed my skills in financial accuracy and compliance.

As a Peer Tutor at Sault College, I helped fellow students improve their academic performance by tailoring learning plans to their unique needs. I believe in creating an encouraging and supportive learning environment, where you can ask questions and build your knowledge with confidence.

Whether it's simplifying complex accounting concepts or guiding you through financial analysis tools, I’m here to support your growth. Together, we’ll ensure that you not only understand the material but apply it effectively.

Looking forward to our learning journey!

As a tutor, I focus on personalized and interactive learning. I begin with diagnostic assessments to identify each student's strengths and areas for improvement, followed by a tailored teaching approach. My lessons are interactive, encouraging student participation with practical examples and problem-solving exercises. I use incremental learning to break down complex concepts, ensuring mastery before moving forward, and provide regular feedback to track progress and adjust the plan as needed.

Lesson Structure:

1. Review & Assessment (10-15 min): Recap previous lessons and assess understanding.

2. New Concepts (20-30 min): Introduce and explain new material with relatable examples.

3. Practice (20-30 min): Apply concepts through exercises.

4. Clarification & Discussion (10-15 min): Address doubts and reinforce understanding.

5. Wrap-up & Homework (5-10 min): Summarize key points and assign tasks.

What Sets Me Apart:

- Tailored Approach: Individualized learning plans improve student performance (up to 40%).

- Real-world Examples: Drawing from my accounting experience at BDO, I offer practical applications.

- Tech Integration: Advanced Excel and AI tools enhance understanding, especially in finance and accounting.
