As a skilled and enthusiastic educator with over 20 years of experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for students of all ages, I am pleased to submit the enclosed resume for your review. My background and passion for education position me to impact students significantly.
In 2019, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Language Learner Studies from Ashford University. Through my undergraduate experience, I was able to obtain a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding research-based four square and sheltered models to address English Language Development standards that map to national associations and support the Common Core Standards for K-12 learners. I have learned the current practices in the field of second language acquisition and English Language Learners.
My experience in early childhood education, working with mentally and physically disabled adults and children has added to my expertise as an ESL teacher.
As the Program Coordinator of the homeschool group, I organized and lead study sessions and field trips.
My work before returning to school to teach ESL has prepared me for this position by exposing me to children from other countries whose parents did not speak English. I had to help bridge them between their own culture and into the dominant culture.

The type of class I conduct it te student-centered classroom. In the student-centered classroom, teaching and assessment are the same because I continuously measure the student learning s during teacher instruction. My goal is for my student to enjoy learning, have fun, and get excited about learning.
As the instructor, my essential job is to mentor and encourage overall comprehension learning and a general understanding of the material. To measure the students learning, I incorporate both casual evaluation and formal. The learning style that I use differs depending on the student.
A teacher’s primary goal is to coach and facilitate student learning and measure student learning through formal and informal instruction and assessment, like projects, student portfolios, and class participation and games.
