Just finished 3 years at the University of Manchester studying Chemical Engineering, offering maths/chemistry/physics lessons at all stages up until and including A2 Levels. Also offer tutoring of Chemical Engineering modules (undergraduate).
Structure of lesson;
recap of topics student has covered at school that week/what was covered in our last session
ask student what areas he/she needs most work in
work together on some example questions and go through the understanding and logic behind the techniques used
allow the student to work independently
review the students work with them, trying to understand how the student thinks, marking their answers and correcting them when necessary
set homework if student feels that they have time to do it before the next session
Tutored fellow 6th form students whilst I was simultaneously studying maths, chemistry, and physics at A-Level. This lasted for the 2 years of A-Level. I have also helped family and family friends with these topics in summer holidays upon completion of school (since 2014). Have taught sometimes in small groups of up to 3-5 people, but have mostly taught one on one lessons.
