About Jesse
My name is Jesse Leyva and I am currently a student at Rochester Institute of Technology! I am in my 4th year studying Biomedical Engineering and absolutely love math. I have taken a variety of different math courses ranging from Calculus 1 & 2 to Differential Equations and was able to perform well in all! During my time in these classes I developed my own study methods and tricks to help me understand the material to the best of my ability. I am more than happy to share with you what I have learned. On top of this I am also employed by the school as an accredited Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for calculus. Being an SI Leader has taught me how to get students to think about the problem they are working on in different ways which ultimately helps their understanding of it. I believe I bring a lot to the table when it comes to tutoring and would love for you to consider working with me!

Being an engineering student I have taken several math courses at different levels and was able to perform well! I.have developed various strategies to better understand the material covered and love sharing with others. I also am employed as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Calculus, where we aid and assist students in understanding their course material by planning the activities that encourages the student to look at material in a different way!
