Hi! I’m a certified Ontario teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching and supporting students in English, literacy, and academic writing. I currently teach High School English and have worked with students in Grades 1–12, including Pre-IB English students, SL and HL IB Language and Literature courses, English Language Learners and students who need extra support building foundational literacy skills.
I help students improve:
Reading comprehension and literacy skills
Essay writing and paragraph structure
Academic writing and organization
Study skills and learning strategies
Confidence and independence in English
My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I break down skills step by step and adapt each session to the student’s needs and learning style. I work especially well with students who feel overwhelmed, struggle with writing, or benefit from clear explanations and consistent guidance.
Lessons are interactive and focused on real progress, not memorization. I aim to help students understand how to learn, not just what to do for one assignment.
I offer online tutoring in the evenings and provide a calm, encouraging learning environment where students can build skills and confidence at their own pace.
