About Alison
Hello!
My names Alison and I am a university English and politics student looking to go into education. I am passionate and hard working and where lack in practical experience I make up for through my dedication to the subject of English and helping students find that English can be more than just reading books and writing essays, English can help bring light to the darker places of the world and ourselves. This would be my first time having official lessons but I have a lot of experience working with kids from primary one onwards. I have studied English though to advanced higher in high school and spent part of my final year assisting in classrooms, with pupils in primary six and seven. I also volunteered with primary school pupils and have completed my PVG and have been given several awards for my volunteering.

My teaching method is a blend of both lecture style of interactive work. I base my classes on what the students feel they need the most help on at the time, and create a structured timetable from there with regular goals to be achieved to keep students both motivated and aware of their progress. I approach each topic by assessing what the students already know and building on their knowledge.
