I believe the most efficient way to teach is to start by finding each pupil's own methodology. Our minds all work in different ways, and no person learns exactly the same. Once I know what works, I can tailor my lesson plan to make it more effective for the pupil. In general, I try to make learning as interesting as possible by relating the relevant information to the pupil's passions or hobbies.
My approach is based on my own experience as a student which relates to getting to know the student personally as well as their interests and approachng them with a manner tailored to their personality. Combining beneficial academic knowledge with pleasant and interesting, practical activities.
My teaching method is tailored to each individual student, their age and the subject at hand. I identify weak areas from an early stage, providing targeted lessons. I have a systematic way of teaching by topic, verbal testing and written testing to solidify knowledge.
I'm an enthusiastic tutor; I love to research creative writing, literature, and rhetoric. My preferred argumentative structure is the Toulmin Model, which I often teach to my students who struggle with structuring their essays. I'm flexible and happy to adapt to different learning styles.
I worked part time as a children's tutor for over 2 years and in that time I was able to develop my teaching style and find ways to make learning fun. I was also able to tutor children in entrance exams required for access to my local private schools and have had fantastic results.
