About Mervyn

I am a published author and an English teacher to all levels. I also teach creative writing of all genres. Whether we are breaking down a classic novel, polishing your academic grammar, or crafting a compelling creative story, I am here to help you discover just how much you are capable of achieving.

About the lesson

Hello! I am an experienced English educator, university lecturer, and published author with a lifelong passion for the written word.

I want to teach because there is nothing quite like the moment a complex literary text finally clicks, a grammar rule suddenly makes sense, or a student finds their own unique voice on the page. Language is the ultimate tool for connection and self-expression, and my goal is to guide you past the intimidation factor and into a space of genuine confidence. Whether we are breaking down a classic novel, polishing your academic grammar, or crafting a compelling creative story, I am here to help you discover just how much you are capable of achieving.
