About Daniella
I am an adjunct English lecturer at Queens College. I have worked as a writing consultant at the Queens College Writing Center for several semesters (as an undergrad and grad). I've worked with students one on one, helping them with pieces ranging from history papers, to science papers, to personal statements, etc. I've also lead workshops at the Writing Center, one of them being a creative writing workshop based on character development. As a lecturer, I have taught English composition. I am a candidate in the Queens College MFA Program in Creative Writing. I write fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.

I am most comfortable working with college level students but my lessons can also be adapted for high school and middle school students. Every tutoring session is student based, meaning activities will be made to get the student to reflect more deeply about her own work and methods. The point of this is to get the student to not just produce one decent assignment, but to gain a tool set so that the student will be able to write on her own. I am also looking to tutor students who are curious about creative writing. One on one workshops will be focused on reading poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The student will write her own creative pieces as well.
