Hi! I'm Keelyn - a literature and video game nerd based in Cape Town. As an MA English student and TEFL-certified tutor, my approach is a blend of structured methodology and personalised support.
I follow a classic TEFL lesson sequence - warm-up, presentation, practice, and plenary/feedback - to give each session a clear flow and learning objective.
Within that structure, I adapt every lesson to what the student actually wants to work on: writing an essay together, co-editing a draft, strengthening grammar, improving academic style, or building confidence in reading or speaking.
I am proficient in English and able to teach entirely in English, or explain concepts simply if a student needs additional clarity.
Students can expect lessons that are collaborative, structured, and goal-driven: we identify the aim for the day, work through the material together, and end with feedback and a short reflection on progress.
My lessons are ideal for:
