About Liz
Salutations! I'm Liz and I love teaching others about the incredible diversity and complexity of life on earth. I'm currently a fisheries biology Ph.D. candidate at Kansas State University with five years of experience teaching and tutoring undergraduate biology courses as well as three years of experience working as a writing tutor in my college's campus writing center. I specialize in tutoring aquatic ecology, ecology, and biostatistics, but I have helped students master concepts in introductory biology, cell biology, genetics, and zoology.

I am a combination audio-visual learner, so as an undergrad I drew countless concept diagrams and tested my comprehension by explaining these diagrams out loud. I believe learning the fundamentals of biology--from cellular respiration and photosynthesis to mitosis and meiosis and everything in between--should be fun, not painful!
