About Wages
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 13 years of teaching experience, guiding students of all ages—from school children to college learners and working professionals. I aim to create lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning goals while building confidence and technical skill.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clear instruction, and individualised guidance. I focus on developing strong fundamentals including finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory. I also encourage creativity, expression, and a love for music. Lessons are explained in simple English and reinforced through exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to ensure understanding and progress.
I design lessons to fit each student’s pace and goals. For children, lessons are interactive and fun, while adults and professionals receive structured, flexible, and goal-oriented sessions. I also provide guidance on effective home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness. Many of my students have successfully performed, passed graded exams, and continued piano as a lifelong hobby. Seeing students grow musically is my proudest achievement.

I teach with compassion, supportiveness, and clear communication. I believe every student has unique strengths, and my role is to guide them patiently, positively, and creatively. In piano lessons, I combine structured practice with creative exercises to help students develop technical skill, musical understanding, and confidence.
I break lessons into manageable steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage active participation, experimentation, and curiosity. Constructive feedback and positive reinforcement are central to my approach, helping students stay motivated and engaged.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same flexible, student-centred methodology. My goal is to help students achieve mastery, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong love for learning, creativity, and personal expression.
