About Caroline
I am a kind, patient teacher, who has an eye for detail in technique. I have 9 years of training as a percussionist from college professors of Juilliard and Howard University, and am currently in seven bands which play everything from jazz to rock to classical wind band repertoire to professional musical theater scores. I have experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and am practiced in helping students work through the frustration that comes with learning new skills. I also have experience with neurodivergent students and those for whom English is their second language. I’m excited to meet your student and get them started on their drumming journey!

I offer lessons to students of all ages who are interested in learning to play drum set and/or percussion. I have been teaching private percussion lessons for seven years to students of all ages and backgrounds, from those learning to read music for the first time to those seeking advanced percussion training that has prepared them for state solo festivals and provided them with strong foundational technique. Lessons in concert percussion, rock drumming, jazz drumming, keyboard percussion, or a combination of the above will include education on the fundamentals of the discipline as well as work on a project or song of the students choice!
