About Lara
I am a patient, calm, and encouraging tutor who believes students learn best when they feel comfortable and supported. I’m not a strict or intimidating teacher, I prioritize building rapport so students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes, because that's the best way to learn!
My aim isn’t just to improve grades, but to build confidence. I love seeing students become more capable, motivated, and proud of their progress. Helping students feel happier and more secure in their learning is what makes tutoring so rewarding for me.

I support students with homework, assessment preparation, essay writing, and developing clear, structured responses. My focus is on strengthening foundational literacy skills while also helping students improve their expression, vocabulary, and confidence in writing.
I have experience working with students with ADHD and ODD and tailor lessons to suit different learning styles and attention needs.
Lessons typically run between 1–3 hours, depending on the student’s age and goals. I offer in-home tutoring across the Northern Beaches as well as online sessions.
