About Serine
Alongside my tutoring experience, I am currently completing a BSc in Information Technology, which has sharpened my ability to break down complex problems methodically and design structured learning plans — skills I bring directly into every tutoring session.
I am committed to every student I work with. I understand that falling behind in English can knock a student's confidence significantly, and I make it a priority to rebuild that confidence alongside the academic skills. Parents can expect clear communication and regular updates on their child's progress.
All sessions are conducted online, making it easy to fit tutoring around school schedules without the hassle of travel.

Before diving into any lesson content, new students must complete a diagnostic assessment so I can identify where they are struggling. From there, I build personalised lesson plans targeting the gaps directly. Every session has a clear focus and purpose.
During lessons, I use a mix of guided practice, worked examples and exam-style questions so students aren't just learning content but instead, learning how to directly apply their knowledge under exam conditions. For GCSE students specifically, I work closely with the mark scheme so students can understand exactly what the examiners are looking for.
Lessons range from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs.
I have 6 years of tutoring experience in both English and Maths, working with students across KS1, KS4, KS3 and GCSE levels. I have a strong track record of results, including students who begin at Grade 4 and achieve Grades 7 and above in their exams.
My lessons are suitable for primary school students (KS1 and KS2), building foundational literacy skills, secondary students (KS3), developing their analytical writing, and GCSE students preparing for exams.
